Sri Lankan healthcare industry is struggling due to an ever-increasing demand for its services and the high cost of imports of bio-medical devices and related products. While the rest of the world is investing considerable portions of their funds in research and development and manufacturing of products that are crucial for the health of general public, Sri Lanka should also seek advancement in this vital sector.
